Comments on: Gnome Do: un Quicksilver para Gnome realmente usable

Hola,
Tengo gnome do instalado en ubuntu 8.10. Va de maravilla. El unico inconveniente es que no logro lanzar nautilus ni run, lo demás va bien.
al llamar a Do con super+espacio, este aparece, tecleo file (tengo ubuntu en inglés), me aparece el icono de nautilus (con la leyenda file browser) le doy a enter y se en la barra de tareas se ve como la aplicación intenta arrancar (starting file manager) pero luego desaparece y nada. Lo mismo con run. Como ya dije lo demás funciona sin problemas.
Se agradece la ayuda.

Al descomprimir el .tar.gz, meterme en la carpeta con el terminal y hacer ./configure me dice:
checking for gmcs… no
configure: error: gmcs Not found

Soy absolutamente nuevo y aquí me he quedado. ¿Alguna idea para solucionarlo?

Hola, tengo una duda, vereis, yo tengo la gran mayoria de musica y videos en otro disco duro.
pero el Gnome Do solo “busca” en el sistema de archivos del S.O
como se puede hacer para q busque tmb en otros discos duros? o no se puede hacer :S

Gosl: el fichero /etc/apt/sources.list necesita privilegios de superusuario para poder ser modificado. Edítalo como superusuario ejecutando el comando:
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
y ya te permitirá guardarlo con las modificaciones.

como procedo para que se guarde?

Thanks. I really like your screencast. If you would like to make another one demonstrating the music feature you seem so fond of (search for music, browse albums and artists with the results window and arrow keys, play music, pause) I would be happy to put it on the official Do website for people to check out. I like how you show Do up close and know how to use compiz to make it look good. If you want to do this, email me a link and I’ll post it.

Ok, David, that thread is exactly what I mean. I know Gnome Do is in its early versions, and I am really impressed with it. And I am sure it will haver more great features in next versions. It works really fine, congratulations for your great job!

https://bugs.launchpad.net/gc/+bug/163511 – is this what you mean?

Many Quicksilver features will be useful in GNOME Do, but they will have to wait until more pressing features are completed (third pane for modifier items, preferences UI, better plugin handling, etc.)

David: thank you very much! I tried running “gnome-do –help” and more commands with similar syntax but I didn’t find anything.
And what do you think about the commands max time? I think that Quicksilver feature would be great also in Gnome Do.
